Fynly ("Fynly," "we," "us") provides community-management software for HOAs, apartment buildings, and other residential communities, on the web and through our iOS and Android apps. This policy explains what information we collect from residents, board members, and community administrators (together, "you"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. Name, email address, password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text), and role (resident, board member, or admin).
Residency information. Your street address and unit number, used to verify you as a resident of your community and to power the private resident directory. Addresses are encrypted at rest and are never shown to other residents - only your community's admins can see them. Phone number is optional.
Profile information. A profile photo and short bio, if you choose to add them - visible to other residents in your community.
Community content. Announcements, events, calendar RSVPs, chat and channel messages, polls, reactions, amenity bookings, recommendations and reviews, and anything else you post or submit within your community.
Device and notification information. If you enable notifications in our mobile app, we store a device push token so we can deliver them. If you register a passkey (Face ID, Touch ID, or a security key), we store the public key and a device label you choose - your biometric data itself never leaves your device.
Usage preferences. Display settings like theme, font, and language.
We do not collect precise location data, and we do not use advertising trackers or sell your information to third parties.
We use your information to operate Fynly: authenticate you, verify residency, display community content to the right people, send the notifications you've opted into, and let your community's admins manage announcements, events, resident approvals, and amenity bookings.
Community admins and moderators can see resident information (including address and unit number) for residents of their own community only - never residents of other communities.
We share information with the service providers who help us run Fynly, under contracts that limit them to only the uses we authorize:
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with advertisers.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, in both the mobile app and on the web. Deleting your account removes your login and personal information (name, address, phone, bio, profile photo); it permanently and immediately prevents anyone - including us - from signing in as you again. Content you posted that other residents also depend on (like a shared announcement or a message in a group chat) stays visible to your community, but is no longer linked to your identity.
Sensitive resident information (address, phone, unit number) is encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. All traffic between our apps and our servers is encrypted in transit.
Fynly is intended for adult residents, board members, and property managers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
You can review and update your information, turn notification types on or off, and delete your account at any time from Settings. You can also contact us using the details below to ask what information we have about you or to request its deletion.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
